Blue Moon is coming…

when the veil comes down, who will make the ultimate sacrifice_

Blue Moon ~ Due for release on Tuesday, January 15, 2019…

“Witch blood may run through your veins, but that doesn’t make you one of us. You were cursed with Fae upbringing and for that you remain an impostor.”

With Samhain around the corner, Akasha’s fate is close to being sealed.

So close, yet not close enough, Nyx and her coven sisters won’t rest until Akasha’s safe. However, the veil between their world and the Fae drug lab, where she’s being held, hinders their every move.

Secrets are uncovered, unlikely unions are made, but some bonds are too strong even for love to break through.

When the veil comes down, who will make the ultimate sacrifice?

Witch or Fae?

Writing Prompt Wednesday

wow life before day one

The story doesn’t begin on page one!

As you walk past this window you catch a glimpse of … (what?).

Life didn’t begin because you happened to be passing. Life had already begun, and will continue after you’ve moved on.

When writing a story, open the window and invite your reader in. This is their page one, but to you, the author, page one thousand would be closer to the truth.

Deposit backstory as if taking vitamins, but don’t over do it because info dumping will slow the pace!

Happy writing!

Release Day

Available Now

As always, on release day, I experience mixed emotions from excitement through to dread.

It’s not so relaxing to dish my baby up to the world and hope that those who take the time to read it get as much enjoyment out of the experience as I did writing it.

No matter the cocktail of feeling, I’m super excited to turn my focus to one of my many ideas waiting patiently for their turn in the spotlight.

I do hope you love Flic and Dave’s story…available now on ebook.

Happy reading.

Quote of the week

brennadarcy-com-lay

Every love story is beautiful, but ours is my favourite.

There is nothing more romantic than the first meeting. The undercurrent of attraction no matter the circumstances.

I know many couples whose first meeting was anything but a flirtatious exchange of batted lashes. Fireworks, yes. Explosions of emotion they never expected to slip into a lasting love story. But, their relationships were never short of passion, they agreed to disagree. The one thing they all had in common was that their love for each other overpowered all else.

Many people believe that love at first sight is a myth reserved for romance novels…I don’t know, you tell me. Have you ever fallen in love from the first moment your eyes locked, and continued to fall in love as you lived out your happily ever after together?

Fallen in love with your best friends brother? Reunited with a high school sweetheart after life took you on different paths that crossed again later in life?

I would love to hear your stories and feature you on my blog. So, if you would love to share your story with my readers, head over to the contact page and drop me a line, or feel free to comment below. There is nothing more romantic than a real life love story. I hope to hear yours soon.

Writing Goals For 2017

brennadarcy-com-blog-1

2016 was a quiet writing year for me as my personal life took a bit of a beating. Writing believable love stories whilst suffering heartbreak is no easy feat, and so I didn’t fight it, instead I took time to heal.

Now that I’m feeling a little more like my romantic self again, I’m eager to get started on my writing plan for 2017.

There are projects I have started and will continue to work on, others I will be adding over the course of the year, but this is what I have so far…in no particular order…

  1. A Valentine’s Day Special ~ title unknown
  2. A Novel For Each Season, &
  3. I intend to write my first Christmas Season novel next year too.

For now I will leave the list on the lighter side because who knows what the future may hold!

My next step in goal setting includes scheduling each book for a desired release date, then breaking down the process to ensure my aim is achievable. It’s a little time consuming, but I have so much I want to fit into 2017 that I think it will pay off in the long run.

Are you a goal setter? Feel free to share the process that works for you. I love reading how others go about planning for the future.
